Whaaaaaaaa nooooo, say it isn't so. Liuda called today. She is going to be quitting. She is...um....in a family way. That is so exciting and I'm thrilled for them. They are going to make wonderful parents. I feel so motherly towards her, like I watched her grow up. When she first started working for me she had only been in this country a few months. She spoke broken English and didn't know our customs or holidays. Now here she is, speaking very well, understanding and celebrating our holidays, married and starting her own family. *sniff* I'm so proud of her. ....but...but...I'm going to miss her more than I miss...oh wait, I better not finish that sentence. That wouldn't be very nice.
