Today was a whirlwind day spent working on getting Brenda (an Ashes pup) to her new home. She was scheduled to fly to Boston this evening. A snowstorm was predicted for the evening so she either needed to fly out earlier, or wait a couple of days. I scurried around and made phone call after phone call and finally found one that was arriving four hours earlier. It still wasn't as early as I would have liked. I scurried around and got her and her crate and rushed to the airport. We are supposed to arrive 2 hours before the flight leaves. I didn't get there until 1 1/2 hour prior and thought we would miss the flight. Good 'ole American Airlines, the friendly cargo guys said we were just fine. I didn't even have to slip them an extra $20. Brenda made the flight just fine and arrived in Boston safe and sound. The problem was that due to the snow storm, the family was not able to get to the airport. The poor puppy was stranded at the airport overnight. The mom called the AA cargo in Boston and spoke with a really nice lady who works there who said not to worry. The employee assured the mom that she would let the pup out, feed and water her, and exercise her. She said the pup would be just fine. This is a real nail biter.
